BANANA WALNUT BREAD

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

1 3/4    cups all purpose flour
1/2       teaspoon baking soda
1 1/4    teaspoons baking powder
1/2       teaspoon salt
1/3       cup butter, room temperature
2/3       cup sugar
2          eggs, lightly beaten
1          cup bananas, ripe & mashed (2 to 3 bananas)
1          cup chopped walnuts

Sift the flour, then measure. Add the baking soda, baking powder, and the salt. Sift together.

In a separate bowl, thoroughly cream together the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and mix until smooth. Add the dry ingredients a little at a time alternating with the mashed bananas and walnuts. Stir together just enough to combine. Do not over mix. Pour into a buttered loaf pan and bake for about 1 hour.
