BREWING METHOD: MANUAL DRIP COFFEE MAKER
BREWING METHOD: MANUAL DRIP COFFEE MAKER
the coffees we recommend:
A manual drip coffee maker will work well with any our coffees.
the amount of coffee to use:
Use one heaping tablespoon of ground coffee for every five ounces of water. For a stronger brew, use more.
the steps:
1. Fill a kettle with cold water (filtered if you have it). Place the kettle on your stove and heat the water to between 190 degrees and 205 degrees. This is the temperature just before boiling (when long streams of fine bubbles rise from the bottom of the kettle).
2. While the water heats, place a filter (paper or gold) into the plastic filter cone. Place the filter cone on top of the glass carafe.
3. Scoop ground coffee into the filter.
4. Slowly pour the heated water over the coffee grounds. Allow the water to completely drip through the grounds.
5. While the water filters through the coffee grounds, pour some hot water into your mug or cup to warm it.
6. Carefully swirl the hot water around your mug then pour out the water.
7. Finally pour the hot coffee into your warmed mug. Add cream, milk or sweetener if you like. Enjoy.
